my wife and i moved our couch yesterday. there, along with various other things you would not care to know about, was the long lost television remote thus ending fatherly suspicions and accusations.

I think so maybe move couch more often or not assume children hid it on you?
Or it could illustrate all the junk that we need to clear out to get to what we need. And usually it is not the television remote.
