Our Week Long Study

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NASB95) 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

we'll be exploring the following questions this week. think about them a bit, if you like post some comments and then on wednesday i'll post some of my own...

Think about the following: What is grace?
Why does God save us by grace?
What does this say about us?
What does this say about God?
What is faith?
Where do you get faith from?
Can you ask God for more faith?
Will God give it to you?
What are works?
Can our works save us?
Even tho they cannot save us, are they good for anything?
Who made us?
What are we made for?
What are the good works we can do?
Can you give several examples?
The most important question of all:
Are you willing to live it out?

Grace is unmerited favor. God saves us via grace because He wants everyone to be with Him in glory and knows that we can't earn it equally(fairness perhaps?) This tells me that God loves me unconditionally like all of us. Faith is believing without seeing and it comes from God. I do ask God for more faith and it takes faith to believe that He grants it. Works are actions we do for God and works alone cannot save. We do them to show our gratitude to God for His mercy in saving us. We are made by God to worship him and we worship Him by serving Him by serving others. Am I willing to live this out? Yes. Remembering that that walk is personal and judged by God.
